Applied Kinesiology
Applied Kinesiology borrows from many different disciplines, using muscle testing as a guide for diagnosis and patient care. The ancient Chinese observed that every muscle in the body links to a specific organ, gland or acupuncture meridian. By testing the strength of its related muscle, we get a glimpse of the condition of that particular organ or tissue. Simple muscle testing helps us uncover the structural, chemical and mental problem that may be in your body. It can also direct us to the best options to restore your health.
Since 1964 this new branch of the healing arts has made a huge impact across the professions of Chiropractic, Dentistry, Medicine, Psychology, Homeopathy, and Spiritual Development. This was the first type of Chiropractic to be embraced by Olympians in our country and abroad.
It is the only system that allows both a patient and their doctor to observe directly that the interventions selected by the body’s wisdom and performed by your doctor are actually making improvements.
Applied Kinesiology (AK) uses the human nervous system to gain communication with the built-in “know how” that runs our bodies. AK “watches” this communication on the “body screen” as changes in muscle responses. This direct access to the intelligence that creates and runs our bodies is bringing relief to millions of people who were previously beyond help due to the limits that not being able to communicate directly with our body’s wisdom had imposed. (See The Missing Piece in Alternative Health Care by Dr. Philip Maffetone, chairman of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, Your Body Doesn’t Lie by Diamond and his book Life Energy too).
Dr. Flickstein has been studying and applying AK since 1975 and is one of fewer than 10 member doctors in the state of Minnesota who are members of the International College of Applied Kinesiology, the official disseminators of the combined research of its members.
